   ABOUT US

SS AMU SAT:

A Student-Led Satellite Mission

SS AMU SAT is a pioneering initiative by the students and alumni of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) to design and launch the first satellite of Aligarh Muslim University. Conceived in 2021 at AMU RoboClub, the project officially began in December 2021 after multiple brainstorming sessions. Interestingly, the NAAC Committee that visited AMU the same month emphasized innovation in Aerial Technology, making the launch of this project perfectly timed. Over the following weeks, the team rapidly expanded and began working on key satellite subsystems:

🛰️ Payload

⚡ Electrical Power System

🧭 Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS)

📡 Communication Systems

The team is being mentored by ISRO experts and satellite design professionals to achieve successful deployment in Low Earth Orbit (LEO)
